What's your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is performing graduation checks and seeing the smile/excitement on students faces when letting them know they are up for graduation and will be done. Empowering students (seeing students grow into their confidence) to reach their fullest potential is also great!
What's the best class you've ever taken?
My favorite course is Sociological Imagination (UC Davis).
About me (likes & hobbies):
I love to work out on my spare time (I still have a dream that I could get back into the same shape that I was in during my UC Davis football days): Wishful thinking! I also love to relax and hang out with friends and family on my spare time. Traveling and exploring the U.S. and other countries is next on my bucket list.
I love Hip Hop/Black culture. A firm believer in Tupac Shakur's "real model" vs Role model construct for cultural expression.
What excites you about helping students graduate from SF State?
Knowing that I am playing a huge role in graduating and deveoping our next leaders excites me. Most important, the simple fact of helping students and being an ally to them along their educational journey.
What advice do you have for SF State Gators?
Have fun, get involved with campus activities and student leadership opportunities at SF State. Be sure to see your academic advisor every semester. Lastly, do to be afraid to ask questions in any aspect of your college experience.
