What's your favorite part of your job?
Working directly with students to help them get the most out of their educational experience, whether that involves helping them finish their degrees, or accessing resources on campus they weren't aware of.

What's the best class you've ever taken?

I took "Teaching Methods in Secondary Science Education" course when I first got to grad school, and it taught me two very important things: I was never going to be a secondary education teacher, and education always works best when it starts with engagement.

About me (likes & hobbies):

Hiking, working out, sleeping

What excites you about helping students graduate from SF State?

Knowing that we're helping set students up for success in the rest of their professional and personal lives.

What advice do you have for SF State Gators?

Reach out for help early and often. There's a ton of resources available to you on campus (tutoring, counseling, etc) but they'll be more effective if you access them before you start to feel like you're drowning.
