Master of Education, in Higher Education Administration
What's your favorite part of your job?
Helping my staff develop professionally and making sure they keep loving their work.
What's the best class you've ever taken?
Introduction to Queer Theory. I took it during my sophomore year of college. I knew queer theory existed, but hadn't ever studied it.
About me (likes & hobbies):
I moved to the Bay Area in July 2017. I'm enjoying exploring different neighborhoods with my spouse, our daughter and our two pugs. I also love trying new restaurants: especially Indian food and anything with a vegetarian/vegan emphasis.
What excites you about helping students graduate from SF State?
SF State is full of students who want to be a force of good in this world. I love knowing that the more students who graduate from SFSU, the more potential for positive change exists out there.
What advice do you have for SF State Gators?
Network! Be intentional about building relationships. Get to know your professors really well; visit office hours; engage with your work supervisors, even if your job isn't yet in your chosen profession. When you graduate, having a strong network of solid relationships will serve you exceptionally well.
