What is your approach to advising or supporting students?

I like to get to know my students, build a relationship with them and make sure I am taking care of them holistically.

What inspired you to pursue a career in advising?

I love being able to give back to my community and assisting students who find themselves in tough spots.

What excties you about helping students at SF State?

I am an SFSU Alumna, so I like being able to help my fellow students as I was once helped too.

What's your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part is being able to develop a relationship with my students and being a resource for them on campus concerning any issues. I enjoy knowing that they become successful within their educational journey.

What's the best class you've ever taken?

I would have to say my LTNS 650 course, Community Organizing with Prof. Kury

What's the most unusual job you've ever had?

Nothing too unusual, but retail was my first!

What advice do you have for SF Gators?

Keep trudging on! Nothing great in life comes easy but it can be easier when you seek out help in certain situations. Keep your head up and stay motivated.
