What is your approach to advising or supporting students?
My approach to advising is primarily developmental where the process is growth oriented and the student is seen as capable and engaged in their potentials. This partnership is based on a shared responsibility towards promoting a supportive, trusting and respectful teaching and learning environment.

What inspired you to pursue a career in advising?
While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I realized that I really wanted a career where I could work and support undergraduate students. Through volunteer work and internships, I was able to clarify my career goal to become an academic counselor. In addition my family encouraged me in that direction.
